Dick Loyd has mentioned that the "newer NAPA IC12SB coils are not working as well as before and we have changed to the IC 12. Much better coil"

I AGREE. I began with the IC 12 (I believe was made in USA) but recently have only been able to get the "SB" units (manufactured in Mexico). So... based on this ... if you possibly can, go with the straight IC 12. (The NAPA stores here also never seem to get more than one per store at a time... regardless of how many they sell.
